React Native Engineer (Contract)

Location: Remote (UK or EU only)


About us:

Unbound is a preventative health digital clinic. We’re a dynamic and innovative early-stage startup on a mission to empower individuals to take control of their health through a holistic, tech-driven approach.

As we build out our engineering team, we’re looking for an experienced React Native Engineer to help shape our product and lay the foundation for a seamless mobile experience.

This contract role is open to candidates based in the UK or EU only.

We require 5+ years of commercial experience in software engineering and a minimum of 3 years hands-on experience with React Native.

What You’ll Do:

● Develop a solid foundation for our React Native app

● Build scalable, reusable components for both mobile and web

● Contribute to AI-powered features and integrations

● Collaborate on product and architecture decisions in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

● Opportunity to expand into full-stack development

What We’re Looking For: ● A product-oriented mindset with a user focus

● Strong experience with React Native and Expo

● Experience with advanced animation frameworks (Reanimated, Skia)

● Familiarity in developing native modules (Swift or Kotlin)

● Good knowledge of React Native and React Web interoperability

● Comfort working in small, agile teams


Nice to have

● Curiosity and excitement about AI and its potential

● Experience with Cursor AI or similar tools

● Willingness to step into full-stack roles ● Experience working in early-stage startups
