React Native Engineer

The Role

As we build out our Engineering Team, we’re looking for an experienced React Native Engineer to help shape the foundation of our mobile experience.

You’ll work across our iOS, Android, and web platforms using Expo and React Native, creating beautiful, performant interfaces that connect seamlessly to our backend and AI-powered health systems.

You’ll collaborate closely with product, design, and backend engineers to bring Unbound’s mission to life, building a digital experience that feels personal, intelligent, and effortless.

Key Responsibilities

● Develop a robust, scalable foundation for our React Native app using Expo ● Build high-quality, reusable components across mobile and web
● Implement advanced animations and interactions using Reanimated and Skia
● Contribute to AI-powered features and integrations within the app
● Collaborate on product design and architecture in a fast-moving, agile team
● Ensure performance, accessibility, and reliability across devices
● Expand into full-stack development as the platform grows

About You

● Strong experience with React Native and Expo
● Deep understanding of mobile UI/UX patterns and performance optimization
● Familiarity with building native modules in Swift or Kotlin
● Knowledge of React Native / React Web interoperability ● Experience with advanced animation frameworks (Reanimated, Skia)
● Product-oriented mindset with a focus on polish, usability, and reliability
● Comfortable working in a small, fast-paced, collaborative environment

Nice to have

● Interest in AI and new developer tools (e.g. Cursor AI, Claude Code)

● Interest in full-stack development (React, Next.js, NestJS) ● Previous experience in early-stage startups or greenfield products
